Since its inception, The Comfy Pets has been dedicated to providing exceptional pet care in the comfort of your home. Initially, I managed every aspect of the business myself, aside from bookkeeping, branding, and social media help. However, now that I’m celebrating 5 years in business (3 of which have been full-time), I realize it’s time to update my business goals to continue delivering high-quality care and make a positive impact in the pet industry.
So, here’s the big news I hinted at last week: ✨ drum roll, please! ✨
THE COMFY PETS WILL BE HIRING!
Growth often involves a bit of discomfort, and while I’ve always preferred handling everything myself, hiring is the most logical next step for The Comfy Pets. My updated goals include expanding our community, having a reliable team for backup, and taking time off without concerns.
Whether I’ve cared for your pets for a day or a year, I value the special bond we’ve shared. I hope you’ll continue to trust me as I begin my search for skilled pet sitters and dog walkers.
I’ll be using the Pet Sitters International Hiring Guide to find the right candidates. Having previously taken PSI courses, I’m confident they’ll help ensure our continued success.
You might be wondering, “What does this mean for me?”
For now, nothing is changing!
I wanted to let you know that I’m beginning the hiring process to add 2 or 3 part-time employees in early September. I’ll keep you updated on our new hires, and the onboarding process will include shadowing, training, and in-person introductions.
