First, a short update on the BIG announcement I made a couple of weeks ago. Yes, I’m still super excited to hire employees and have a team to help run this amazing community! No, I won’t be making my first hires in early September like I had hoped. The timeline has pushed more likely to mid or late September.
That’s because I’ve been so busy caring for your furry ones (and I wouldn’t have it any other way!). Any gaps I’ve had in my schedule has been dedicated to going through the hiring course and learning everything there is to know about hiring, all of which has taken me longer than I expected.
Like I mentioned previously, I’m taking this very seriously because I want to continue providing you with the BEST pet care…and that includes making sure each step of the process is done to the best of my abilities so I can hire quality candidates.
Some of you have expressed interest either for yourself or someone you know. Please be patient as I get all my ducks in a row. You will be the first to know when I have my application ready to receive submissions 🙂
While I’m busy preparing to expand our team, I’m reminded daily of how important it is to stay in tune with our pets’ needs. We all know that our pets bring us endless joy and companionship, but it’s important to remember that they have feelings, preferences, and personalities, just like us. Advocating for your pet means recognizing these traits and giving them the space to express themselves.
Pets, especially dogs and cats, can be surprisingly good at communicating their likes and dislikes IF we pay attention. Maybe your dog prefers certain walking routes or your cat has a favorite spot for naps. By acknowledging these preferences, no matter how big or small, you’re not just keeping them happy—you’re boosting their confidence.
Allowing pets to make decisions, even small ones, is crucial for their emotional well-being. Letting them choose their toys, explore different environments at their own pace, or decide when they need a break can make a huge difference in their comfy level and overall happiness.
By advocating for your pet, you’re nurturing their individuality and ensuring they feel secure in their environment. This approach leads to a more confident, content companion who knows that their feelings matter. So next time, pause and let your pet’s voice be heard—they’ll thank you in their own special way!
Stay Comfy,
Tanya
