I know it’s been extremely quiet here the past few months, and I want to begin by sincerely apologizing for that. Sometimes, life throws us curveballs, and we find ourselves in “survival mode,” focusing only on the most immediate priorities. While the latter part of 2024 was more chaotic than I had hoped, I couldn’t let this final Tuesday—and the last day of the year—pass without acknowledging how truly thankful I am for each of you. Your unwavering trust, patience, and support mean the world to me.

Despite the bumps along the way, there are many positives to celebrate this year:

• Giving Back: we were able to donate to even more organizations, helping pets and communities in need.
• Growth Through Learning: I leaned into my commitment to education and took steps to start The Comfy Pets’ journey into training services, something I’m incredibly excited about for 2025 and years to come.
• Sharing Knowledge: While I didn’t meet my goal of sending weekly (or even monthly) emails, I hope the knowledge and tips I did share added value to your pet care journey.
• Expanding The Team: we have a solid team of 3 Pet Care Specialists doing a great job holding down the fort while I’m currently in Costa Rica.

Speaking of my time here, I wanted to share two quick updates.

1. Working with Bambi through the KPA Dog Trainer Professional Program has been a dream come true. Just as I thought, she is eager, curious, and the best partner dog I could’ve asked for. Our bond is growing even stronger every day. Here’s a video submission for one of my first assignments, where I started to cue “yummy” for her lip licks.
2. I also needed to work with a non-canine species for the program. Long story short, we adopted a new kitten! His name is Hugo (aka Hugo Boss) and he has surprised me in many beautiful ways. This video submission was filmed the very night he arrived at our home, where I immediately started to capture and cue a new behavior aka “sit.”

As we welcome 2025, I wish you and your loved ones a year filled with happiness, health, joy, and success. Thank you for being such an integral part of The Comfy Pets family. Without you, TCP would quite literally not exist. Your trust and support are what keep me motivated to grow and improve, both as a business owner and as a person.
